We are looking for a Functional Testing Engineer to join our growing team in Canada

Job Description:

Ensure the quality and reliability of software by identifying and fixing defects in software applications:
Test cases: Create and execute test cases to identify defects and inconsistencies
Defect documentation: Identify and document defects, issues, and test results
Collaboration: Work with the development team, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues and ensure testing activities align with project goals
Feedback: Provide feedback to the development team to improve the product's design and functionality
Test types: Perform manual testing in both white box and black box environments
Software integration: Ensure the software integrates smoothly with other software and is compatible with many devices
User experience: Determine what type of experience the user will have with the software
Manual testers are part of the software development team and take on the role of an end user to test the program or app. They use a rigid software testing flowchart to check every aspect of the program, which automated software cannot always replicate.
Some skills and qualifications for a manual tester include:
Excellent communication skills
Analytical approach to troubleshooting
Time management and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of the code languages used to create the software
Familiarity with QA rubrics and software development frameworks
Specialized education, such as a bachelor's degree in information technologies
Basic knowledge of programming languages
Mastery of QA methodologies
