Role - AI Application Developer

Location - Canada, Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking AI Applications Engineer to help us build and implement AI-enabled applications using AWS cloud services and SaaS-based AI platforms. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, designing, and integrating intelligent solutions that align with our digital transformation goals. 
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience building AI/ML models and applications, a passion for automation and innovation, and a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with product, data, and IT architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML-powered applications using AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Comprehend, Rekognition, Lex, etc.) 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI use cases and transform them into scalable technical solutions.
• Build and manage workflows that support AI model training and deployment.
• Integrate AI services with existing applications and systems across the organization.
• Prototype and evaluate AI models, leveraging pre-built models or training custom ones as needed.
• Ensure applications performance, reliability, security, and compliance standards.
• Stay updated with trends in AI and cloud-native application development.
• Mentor internal teams and provide knowledge transfer for AI tools and practices.

Qualifications- Required:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, and Rekognition.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or another modern programming language used in AI/ML development.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture and serverless application design.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.

Qualifications- Preferred:
• Knowledge of security, privacy, and governance best practices for AI applications.
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty or Solutions Architect certification
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms and integrating with business systems (CRM, ERP, etc.).

• Strategic mindset with a passion for AI and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
