#16882 Senior POS QA Automation Analyst

Qualitest is seeking a highly skilled Point of Sale (POS) Automation Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Vancouver, Canada.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience with Oracle Xstore 17 or similar POS systems, including a strong background in automation and QA testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of testing phases prior to UAT for Retail Point of Sale systems, particularly Oracle Xstore 17.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for enhancements in underperforming areas.
• Develop and document Manual Test Cases, Regression, and Smoke Test suites to address identified issues.
• Reproduce production issues in Stage and QA environments for debugging and resolution.
• Effectively manage and report on QA risks, mitigation strategies, and timelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure effective test automation and the Shift Left approach.
• Leverage Java unit testing frameworks for automation purposes.
• Apply knowledge of the IT SDLC processes, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban to drive efficiency and quality in testing.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience testing Oracle Xstore 17 or similar POS systems and devices.
• Proven experience in test automation with Oracle Xstore 17 or desktop devices.
• In-depth understanding of IT SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and various frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to work onsite in Vancouver, 5 days a week, in the POS Lab.
• Experience with Java unit testing frameworks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
