Fusion/MAS9 Test Lead

We are looking for a Test Lead to join our growing team in Remote (Within US).

JD:

The Test Lead will be responsible for leading 4 of the Fusion Program Tracks: Elk, Data Splice, Maxa vera, and R-bots.

Test Lead will Test Strategy

Collaborates with the APS System Quality Engineer (“SQE”) to define their test phase/type and provide input to the Test Strategy pertaining the test level plan assigned to the Test Lead (e.g., SIT, E2E, Regression Test).

Provides timely feedback as to adjustments in the test strategy or approach that would accelerate defect identification.

Raises risks, opportunities, and issues early.

Test Level Plan

Authors the Test Level plan and test cases needed to support the plan. Collaborates with the SQE to algin the test level plan into the Test Strategy & Plan.

Coordinates fulfilment of test resource needs given estimated needs for the test phase/type for which they are responsible.

Test Management:

• Delivers towards test goals for testing prior to SIT.
• Ensures team adheres to APS quality standards, processes, and procedures.
• Trains team on use of testing tools.
• Ensures test authors map System Requirements-to-test for traceability.
• Maintains tests plans, scope, and assignments real time in the testing tool. i.e.: Microsoft ADO (“ADO”).
• Reports real time test outcomes as a result of test cases execution using APS’ designated test management suite
• Drives defect repair efforts to ensure phase exit goals are met on time.
• Monitors and confirms accuracy of test resources.
• Leads System Integration Testing (“SIT”)
• Develops and socializes SIT Plan.
• Manages/completes SIT test authoring.
• Fulfills SIT staffing needs as directed by the IT Leader.
• Prepares for and Manages SIT.
• Monitors SIT execution.
• Reports daily test metrics to the SQE for distribution to the project team.
• Leads SIT defect triage under the oversight of the SQE.
• Proactively manages toward SIT entrance and exit criteria.
• Ensures testing includes both IOS and Android platforms.

The test lead is responsible for:

SIT Testing Efforts:

• Manage and Oversee test case design.
• Oversee Test Suite/Plan management in ADO.
• Manage and maintain metrics for testing items and progress.
• Manage and Distribute workload to testers.
• Lead regular testing status meetings with testers and developers.
• Manage defect testing efforts.
• Serve as a conduit between testers and project management.
• Work with testing team to keep within project deadlines.
• Identify and escalate risks, opportunities, and issues.
• Maintain integrity of test results and record real time in ADO.
• Ensure testing deliverables are up to date in apsNOW.
• Fulfill testing staffing needs
• Ensure all test cases are authored at the layperson level. Layperson level detail is defined as step-by-step without assuming any prior knowledge from the tester to complete the test script, including access and data required.
• Identify and request test data.
• Provide Final SIT Testing and Defect reports.
• Support test execution by using APS designated test management suite real time
• Maintain an updated Regression suite in ADO.
• Work closely and collaboratively with APS project team members during all phases of testing: SQE and Business Analyst (“BA”)
• Provide test cases and estimates for review and approval.
• Participate in User Story/requirement review and approval.
• Assist with requirement coverage and traceability.
• Ensure proper ADO linkage between test cases and requirements/user stories.
• Provide testing and estimate consultation during User Acceptance Test (“UAT”) efforts.
• Understand and discuss test scenarios based on requirements and business needs.

Development

• Openly communicate during defect testing and triage
• Be aware of and communicate upcoming changes and timings of build deployments.

Automation

• Provide consultation and feedback on possible automation candidates.
• Assist in maintenance and upkeep for existing test cases based on new enhancements/changes.
