Device Operator

We are looking for a Device Operator to join our growing team in Redmond, WA (onsite).

Job Description

The Device Operator will help prepare data collection devices and their supplemental materials for deployment, as well as process returned devices. These devices are used to support augmented reality (AR) research. The candidate will use established commands and scripts on Windows and Linux machines to test the device and update its software. They will perform physical quality inspections as well as make custom adjustments to the devices as needed. Regular communication with collaborating teams and stakeholders is expected, as well as contributions to process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and stock devices (~ 20 lb boxes)
• Install device software
• Test hardware and software quality
• Report issues promptly and thoroughly
• Install custom components on devices
• Provide feedback and help maintain process documentation
• Stay up to date on documentation

Required Skills

• Detail-orientedness

• Ability to write and speak clearly
• Adaptability to changing workflows
• Ability to work efficiently unsupervised
• Familiarity with command line (Windows and Linux)
• Familiarity with Google Suite

Preferred Skills

• A passion for AR/VR technology is strongly preferred.

• Salary of $55,000-60,000 USD annually.
