We are looking for a Makeup Artist to join our growing team in Fremont, CA, United States.

Location: Fremont, CA

We are seeking talented Makeup Artists to join our Ground Truth Data Collection team, supporting the advancement of cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) products. This unique role involves capturing diverse data related to human features, speech, and environments, which is essential for training high-quality Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms. As a Data Collection Artist (DCA), you will work directly with participants, utilizing advanced scanning technology in a controlled environment.

The ideal candidate combines excellent customer service with a strong aptitude for technology, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently apply makeup to participants to support large-scale data collection projects
• Adapt quickly to project updates and changes, maintaining flexibility and responsiveness
• Collaborate closely with the operations team, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
• Deliver professional, detail-oriented services while engaging participants positively

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in face-to-face customer service with strong interpersonal skills
• Train data collection associates on the basics of makeup application 
• Ability to take feedback for improvement and implementation
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to high standards
• Highly organized and detail-focused, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong team player who thrives in collaborative environments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities

Experience & Education:

• Professional makeup artist with expert-level application skills across various mediums
• Able to apply makeup in various levels based on client requirements (i.e. daytime vs nighttime, fake eyelashes vs mascara)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Minimum of a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience working applying makeup professionally, or equivalent education experience (please note, you make be asked for a portfolio to showcase your work)
