Python Automation Engineer

Qualitest is looking for an experienced Python Automation Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. This role focuses on automating test processes for advanced robotic systems in a medical device environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and has hands-on experience with Python scripting, test automation, and regulated software testing.

This is fulltime hybrid position for Irvine, CA expected to come 2 days onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional test and development engineers to define testing strategies for robotic control software.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks, protocols, and harnesses.
• Create, execute, and document test cases; report and analyze results.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective test cases.
• Participate in design and requirement reviews to ensure testability.
• Drive test process improvements, automation efficiency, and best practices.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• ✅ Medical Device Testing Experience (regulated environments).
• ✅ Strong documentation skills — RV&S, specifications, change control, validation.
• ✅ Python scripting proficiency - hands-on test automation experience.
• ✅ Solid understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) .
• ✅ Experience designing and executing both manual and automated test protocols.
