#18845 - Senior Test Automation Engineer - B2

Qualitest is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-growing Quality Engineering team. This is a fully remote, full-time position, ideal for a seasoned test automation professional with experience in enterprise-scale systems and Agile environments.

In this role, you’ll be contributing to two high-impact initiatives:

1. CCAP Project – Supporting ongoing development and testing across several key business domains.
2. Discovery Phase – Participating in a 16-week effort to define the scope and QA needs of a new, strategic initiative.

You’ll work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and analysts to design and implement automated testing solutions that ensure rapid, reliable, and high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

CCAP Project (Fixed Effort Allocation):

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable test automation frameworks, primarily using AccelQ.
• Build and maintain automated regression and smoke test suites for:
• Loan Origination
• Point of Sale (POS)
• Products and Servicing
• Analyze test results, track issues, and drive defect resolution.
• Ensure test coverage and adherence to quality metrics across all deliverables.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Discovery Phase:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define QA strategy and scope for an upcoming project.
• Identify test automation opportunities and recommend appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Assist in planning QA timelines, resourcing needs, and implementation roadmaps.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
• Proven expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks (preferably AccelQ).
• Strong understanding of QA best practices, testing methodologies, and the software development lifecycle in Agile environments.
• Experience testing complex, enterprise-scale systems in the financial domain (e.g., loan origination, POS systems).
• Proficient in both functional and automated testing.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in early project discovery or scoping phases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Proficiency with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, qTest).
