We’re Hiring:  Senior Backend Engineer based in Glilot - Herzliya 

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to take a leading role in designing and building scalable, high-quality backend systems. In this role, you will drive architectural decisions, improve engineering practices, and contribute to complex, cross-team solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready services that support business and product goals.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems.
• Build robust, maintainable solutions for complex scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, DevOps, and R&D.
• Improve engineering practices, processes, and system scalability.
• Ensure high code quality through reviews and best practices.
• Monitor production systems and resolve critical issues.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C#, Java, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong expertise in SQL and database design/management.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
• Proven experience designing and extending functionality in complex systems while maintaining scalability and performance.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• BA/BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies - An Advantage 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - An Advantage 
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) - An Advantage 
• Experience with messaging/streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)  - An Advantage 
• Mentoring experience and strong collaboration skills - An Advantage
