We are looking for a Field Communications Engineer - RF to provide technical support for complex airborne and ground communication systems (Data Link) that integrate advanced software, firmware, and hardware in leading unmanned systems (UAV systems) worldwide.

The Field Engineering Technician supports development teams, manages laboratories, and performs installations and firmware updates for communication products (Data Link).

This is a full-time position at Haifa

Responsibilities

• Participation in ground and flight tests to validate and mature the developed capabilities at integration and testing sites in Israel and abroad.

• The Field Engineering Technician is required to work in a matrix development environment, demonstrate quick learning abilities, analyze complex topics with a broad system-wide perspective, possess strong interpersonal communication skills, and work effectively in a team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a technical role in Air Force squadrons – an advantage.

• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering – mandatory-

• Proven experience and familiarity with radio communication (RF) – mandatory 

• Knowledge of networks and communication protocols (IP communication, serial communication) – an advantage.

• Experience working with standard testing tools (Oscilloscope, DVM, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer) – mandatory.

• Programming knowledge in Python – an advantage.

• Experience in designing laboratory harnesses and cabling – an advantage.

• Strong system-wide perspective.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Fast learning ability and strong analytical skills for complex topics.

• Experience in system engineering, development, or integration of complex multi-disciplinary systems – an advantage.

• Familiarity and experience with UAV systems – an advantage.
