We are looking for a SAP EAM Functional POD Lead to join our growing team. This position is remote from Mexico or Argentina.

Qualitest is seeking a highly skilled SAP EAM Functional POD Lead with specific experience in the rail industry to join our Enterprise team and play a pivotal role in delivering SAP implementation and production support services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage end-to-end implementations and ongoing support for rail sector clients. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, business process understanding, and client engagement skills tailored to the unique needs of rail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Project Management Lead SAP EAM workstream for rail industry client, including design, build, and deployment phases.

Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery within budget and timelines.

Serve as the primary point of contact for functional issues and escalations, resolving them promptly to minimize business disruptions.

Manage cross-functional teams, including onshore/nearshore/offshore resources, to deliver integrated solutions.

Solution Design and Configuration

Conduct fit-gap analyses to identify areas where SAP EAM can optimize rail-specific asset management processes (e.g., rolling stock maintenance, infrastructure upkeep).

Configure and customize SAP EAM modules (e.g., Plant Maintenance) to meet the specific needs of rail operations.

Develop functional specifications for enhancements and collaborate with technical teams for development.

Act as a trusted advisor to client by understanding their operational challenges and translating them into effective SAP EAM solutions.

Advocate best practices for rail asset management processes, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for rolling stock and infrastructure assets.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for process improvements within client environments and recommend actionable solutions.Integration and Support

Ensure seamless integration of SAP EAM with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), PS (Project Systems), FICO (Finance/Controlling), and external systems used in rail operations.

Provide ongoing support for implemented solutions, including issue resolution and system optimization.

Qualifications

Experience in SAP EAM/PM implementations across multiple end-to-end project lifecycles.

Proven track record of delivering SAP ERP/EAM solutions specifically within the rail industry, addressing challenges such as rolling stock maintenance, track infrastructure management, signaling systems, or depot operations.

Hands-on experience with master data management (e.g., Functional Locations, Equipment, Task Lists) tailored to rail asset hierarchies.

Relevant certifications in SAP EAM/PM or IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) are highly desirable.

Skills

Strong functional expertise in rail-specific asset lifecycle management processes.

Expertise in integrating SAP EAM with other modules (MM, PS, FICO) and external systems used in rail operations (e.g., condition monitoring systems).

Deep understanding of maintenance strategies (preventive/predictive) and work order lifecycle management for rail assets.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
