Performance Test Engineer

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to join our growing team in Argentina!

Role: Performance Test Engineer

Location: Remote from Argentina

This role is responsible for the implementation of the test strategy, creation of test assets, execution of performance tests, analysis of test results, creating test reports and delivering these findings to the project teams.

Must-haves: 

• 1 - 3+ years experience performance testing
• SAP systems experience (understand high level functionality)
• Experience with either NeoLoad (preferred) or LoadRunner

Responsibilities:

Complete performance test plans.

Create assets needed for testing. Areas include (but are not limited to):

• Implementing test strategy outlined in test plan. Sign off of test plan must be obtained.
• Acquire test user access
• Create and review storyboards.
• Define and obtain test data if needed
• Lead a team of scripters if required
• Creation of scripts (if a scripter is not needed or unavailable)
• Code reviews of scripts (if scripts are completed by another scripter)
• Creation of test scenarios
• Provide status reporting to project leadership
• Lead execution of performance tests
• Analyze data from tests
• Escalate any issues in the application to the Client and Engagement Manager and Delivery Manager
• Develop and deliver reports to project team. Sign-off of reports must be obtained.

Requirements: 

• At least 3- 5 years experience performance testing preferred
• Ability to foster client relationship
• Intercultural skills, team spirit and willingness to cooperate
• Excellent knowledge of performance testing, testing tools and test processes
• Excellent knowledge of performance testing concepts and methodologies
• Excellent knowledge of developing complex performance test scripts
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to analyze test results and identify tuning opportunities or performance related defects
• Ability to explain complex technical issues
• Shift-left capabilities including (but not limited to): Creation of frameworks

Technical knowledge of various types of applications including (but not limited to):

• .NET applications
• SAP systems
• Azure/AWS cloud hosted applications
• SaaS Solutions
• Java
• Technical knowledge around application and network infrastructures.
• Proxies
• Firewalls
• Load Balancers (F5, load balancing types)

Understanding of tools including (but not limited to):

• JMeter
• NeoLoad
• Fiddler
• Wireshark or NetMon
• PerfMon
• Tableau
• GitHub
• APM results analysis – eg. App Dynamics/DataDog

Understanding of the following scripting languages: Perl, JavaScript and PowerShell.
