Overview
The Principal SharePoint Developer (PSD) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of SharePoint development and administration. This includes but is not limited to designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint applications, workflows, and solutions for our enterprise operations, both on-premise and in the cloud. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and deployment of SharePoint solutions to the enterprise.
- Lead migration and deployment initiatives to SharePoint Online in Azure and OneDrive.
- Administer and maintain SharePoint Farms, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Oversee and perform the administration and upgrading of SharePoint servers and databases.
- Act as technical lead and go-to expert for troubleshooting the firm's web and portal applications and related integrated applications.
- Collaborate closely with firm resources and departments to gather user requirements, develop custom SPFx solutions and deploy solutions to support the business.
- Collaborate with firm colleagues to develop and maintain standard practices and metrics related to SharePoint infrastructure and administration.
- Maintain documentation for configuration, processes, and service records.
Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities
The successful candidate will have experience, knowledge, and abilities similar to the following:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience working with SharePoint technologies at an advanced level.
- Proven experience in deploying and migrating to SharePoint Online in Azure and OneDrive.
- Proven experience in leading SharePoint and Intranet-related projects and teams to successful completion.
- Extensive experience in architecting, administering, and maintaining SharePoint Farms and SharePoint servers, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Demonstrated ability in integrating data, such as from Microsoft SQL and other sources, into SharePoint systems and related applications.
- Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills. Proven ability to evaluate a problem, research solutions, test and propose end user solutions and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint best practices and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline.
Technical Qualifications
The successful candidate will be proficient and demonstrate expertise in applying the following applications, processes, and technologies:
- Developing SharePoint solutions using Visual Studio Code, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, FluentUI, SharePoint REST, OData, npm.js, Gulp, SPO/PnP PowerShell, CSOM, JSOM, Microsoft/Office Graph, PnPjs, web hooks and related technology.
- General proficiency in .Net, JavaScript, C#, Azure DevOps/GitHub.- Working with Nintex Workflow forms.
- Designing and developing Power Automate workflows.- Strong knowledge of SharePoint security, permissions, and governance, including server security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure SSL/TLS configurations.- Ability to troubleshoot complex SharePoint-related issues – both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure AD, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Service, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of legacy SharePoint Systems (2013/2016, 2019) and newer SharePoint Versions and how to migrate data and code base between different systems.
- Understanding of SharePoint Search and Design components.- Knowledge of large farm and N+ architecture with https encryption is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Finance data.
- Familiarity with Aderant Handshake and other Aderant technologies.
- Experience with SDLC and Change Management processes.
- Experience with M365 compliance and security, including DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention labels and policies.
- Experience with building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
