System Engineer - Remote

Responsibilities:

• Overall management and monitoring of server and storage infrastructure, on-site and in the Cloud. 
• Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Providing tier-3 IT support to different business units.
• Provide solution to any complex IT related challenges in the organization.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvements to existing processes, automation of time-consuming tasks and examine new technologies to improve end user experience.

Requirements:

• MS Infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, AD Connect, etc.
• Cloud and Identity Management: Proven hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including:Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, SSO, and role-based access control.
• Microsoft 365 services – including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint and more
• Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
• FSxVirtualization & Infrastructure
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x – including installation, configuration, and system design.
• Familiarity with physical servers and Datacenter maintenance lifecycle.
• Operating Systems:Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Client OS, Linux distributions (nice to have), and macOS.(nice to have)
• Experience managing macOS endpoints with Jamf Pro (or similar) in enterprise settings.
• Storage & Backup Solutions:Hands-on experience with NAS/SAN systems including:NetApp, QNAP, and BlueXP.Familiarity with backup systems, preferably Commvault/Metallic (advantage).
• AWS Cloud:Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and basic security controls. (nice to have)
• Security-conscious approach to system design, patching, and access control.
• Scripting & Automation:Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting for system administration and automation tasks.
