System Solution Engineer
Our partner is seeking an experienced System Solution Engineer to support hardware, software, and infrastructure operations, both remotely and at customer sites.In this role, you will focus on diagnosing and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, primarily within L2 support scenarios. The position places strong emphasis on our partner’s new product platform, built on open-source technologies within a modern microservices environment. You will work closely with global customers as well as internal engineering, services, laboratory, R&D, operations, and business teams. This role requires a highly customer-centric mindset, strong ownership, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and infrastructure issues (primarily L2 cases).
- Provide technical support across Linux and Windows environments.
- Act as a key point of contact (POC) and subject matter expert (SME) for customers.Install, configure, deploy, and maintain systems and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient problem resolution.
- Work according to support methodologies, best practices, and KPIs.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in R&D, technical support, professional services, or a similar technical role.
- Ability to understand and analyze complex, multidisciplinary, distributed systems.
- Linux and Windows operating systems.NetApp and VMware environments
- Monitoring and alerting tools such as Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Knowledge in telephony protocols one of the following (SIP, H323, SS7, GSM, ETSI).
- Native Dutch speaker.Excellent English language skills (spoken and written).
- The expected work model is: 2–3 days per week on-site at the client location (Utrecht) remaining days working from home, with on-demand availability as required.
