Senior DSP Electrical Engineer - Radio & Communications
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a Radio & Communications division and play a key role in the development of advanced communication systems.
In this position, you will lead the design, development, integration, and optimization of complex communication solutions involving digital signal processing, embedded systems, modem technologies, and radio communications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and contribute to architectural decisions that drive the performance and reliability of next-generation communication systems.
Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of DSP firmware for advanced communication systems.

Architect and implement real-time embedded software solutions for signal processing applications.

Drive the design, integration, and optimization of systems involving DSPs, ARM-based processors, FPGAs, and RF components.

Design, develop, and optimize modem algorithms and communication protocols for high-performance applications.

Analyze system requirements and define technical solutions aligned with product objectives.

Lead system integration, debugging, verification, and performance optimization activities.

Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex issues across hardware, firmware, and software domains.

Utilize simulation and modeling tools to evaluate, validate, and improve communication system performance.

Collaborate with RF, FPGA, hardware, software, and systems engineering teams throughout the full product lifecycle.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices.

Contribute to technical roadmaps, architecture reviews, and engineering process improvements.

Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and validation reports.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in digital communications, embedded systems, DSP firmware development, or related domains.

Strong experience developing DSP firmware on TI and/or Analog Devices platforms.

Solid experience with ARM architectures, including Cortex-R5, Cortex-A53, or similar SoCs.

Strong expertise in real-time embedded programming using C and DSP-oriented optimization techniques.

Deep understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts and practical implementations.

Strong background in analog and digital communication systems.

Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing modem systems and communication algorithms.

Experience integrating and debugging complex embedded systems involving DSPs, FPGAs, processors, and RF subsystems.

Strong knowledge of communication protocols, communication stacks, and system-level interactions.

Proficiency with simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and system-level problem-solving skills.

Experience with wireless communication standards and software-defined radio (SDR) technologies.

Knowledge of FPGA design flows and hardware acceleration techniques.

Experience with assembly programming for DSP performance optimization.

Familiarity with RF system design, testing, and validation.
