Frontend Engineer (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Modern Stack Engineering: Troubleshoot and develop high-performance UI components across a TypeScript/React environment, ensuring seamless user experiences in KMS and the Events Platform.
• Accessible Product Development: Lead the remediation and feature development for the Kaltura Player and web platforms, ensuring they meet global accessibility standards (WCAG).
• UI/UX Excellence: Partner with designers to translate complex requirements into fluid, accessible, and performant React components.
• AI-Accelerated Development: Expertly leverage AI coding assistants (Claude 3.5/Sonnet, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to rapidly navigate codebases, automate UI testing, and refactor components for better accessibility.
• Agile Collaboration: Act as an active member of a distributed SCRUM team, contributing to sprint planning, async code reviews, and maintaining high standards for frontend code quality.
• Inclusion Advocate: Serve as the technical point of contact for accessibility-related UI challenges, bridging the gap between standard frontend development and inclusive design.

Technical Stack & Requirements:

• Core Language: Expert proficiency in TypeScript.
• Framework Mastery: Extensive experience with React and its ecosystem (Hooks, Context, State Management) for building and debugging complex interfaces.
• UI/UX Foundation: Strong experience in CSS/SASS, responsive design, and browser compatibility.
• Accessibility (Big Advantage): Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ARIA roles, and experience with assistive technologies (Screen readers like NVDA/VoiceOver) is a significant plus.
• AI Tooling Mastery: Proven capability of integrating AI dev tools into your daily workflow to increase efficiency and code quality.
• Modern Tooling: Familiarity with modern frontend build tools, testing libraries (Jest/React Testing Library), and AWS cloud-native workflows
