Test Engineer

Description:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology OR Vocational Education in Information Technology or equivalent. Minimum required

Experience:

• No prior experience required with Bachelor's Degree OR minimum 6 years of experience with Vocational Education in areas such as Software Development, Software Design and Architecture, Testing and Quality Assurance or equivalentSoftware Technologist I

TestResponsibilities and Key Result Areas:·

• Create verification strategy and plan· Provide estimates and execute verification activities of the project in consultation and alignment with partners and architects
• Define and create verification test environments
• Create test specifications and test environments as per plan
• Support the scrum teams in execution of test cases, ensure coverage and completeness of testing as per defined doneness criteria
• Supports in risk management activities
• Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
• Work with development team and end users to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management
• Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.
• Guide junior team members and review the artifacts prepared by them

Experience:·

• 7-10 Years of experience in manual and automation testing of desktop and web applications,Skill Set:
• Manual and automation testing of desktop and web applications
• An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
• Black Box testing, System testing, Integration, and regression testing
• Hands on experience in at least one defect management and test management tool
• Ability to create test strategy/plan and execute them
• Understanding of automation tools and scripting language is a big plus
