Senior Test Automation Engineer

Qualitest is looking for a Role: Senior Test Automation Engineer Experience: 6-8 years (strong automation + insurance domain experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an – B1 Level Resource Senior Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in C#, Selenium, API and database testing, along with strong Life & Annuity insurance domain knowledge.

The candidate will play a key role in defining test strategy, mentoring team members, and ensuring high quality delivery for policy administration systems in a CI/CD enabled Agile environment.

3 Must have skills:

Automation Skilled with C# and Selenium 4/5

Strong API and DB testing skills 4/5

Insurance (Life, Annuity)

Domain skills with experience on working on policy administration systems 3/5

Advanced test automation skills using C# and Selenium

Strong expertise in API testing (REST/SOAP) and database testing (SQL)

Extensive experience in Life & Annuity insurance domain

Hands on experience with policy administration systems

Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated testing

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks.

Review automation code and ensure adherence to best practices

Define overall test strategy, automation approach, and quality standards

Perform complex API and DB testing for backend-heavy insurance systems

Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)

Ensure continuous testing across build and deployment pipelines

Troubleshoot pipeline failures, flaky tests, and environment issues

Mentor junior and B1 level testers on automation and domain concepts

Collaborate with DevOps, architects, and business stakeholders

Provide test metrics, quality reports, and release readiness sign off

Good to HaveBDD (SpecFlow/Cucumber)

Performance testing exposure

Experience working as QA Lead in Agile/Scrum teams
