Must Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in QE / SDET roles with strong automation expertise
• Java & Spring Boot: Ability to read, understand, and test Spring Boot microservices (4/5)
• JavaScript / TypeScript: Hands-on experience in automation scripting (4/5)
• Cypress: Strong experience; Playwright experience or willingness to learn and lead migration (3/5)
• API Testing: REST, JSON, contract testing, Postman or similar tools
• AWS: Working knowledge of core services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFront, API Gateway)
• CI/CD: Experience integrating automated tests into pipelines (GitLab CI preferred)
• Git: Branching strategies and merge workflows
• Security Testing: Basics of SAST, DAST, SCA tools and vulnerability lifecycle

Nice to Have

• Terraform (ability to read and validate infrastructure code)
• Experience in cloud migration or major platform upgrades
• Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6, etc.)
• AI-assisted testing/development tools
• Container / Docker testing experience
• Apigee or API gateway testing experience
• Financial services / regulated domain experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with platform engineers to understand migration scope and define test scenarios
• Execute and maintain existing regression suites
• Upgrade and maintain Cypress frameworks
• Design, write, and review automated tests for migrations and upgrades
• Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, estimation, retrospectives)
• Track and report coverage metrics (density, breadth, gaps) and drive improvements
• Mentor and share best practices within the QE team
• Document test strategies, runbooks, and framework design patterns
