Job Description:
- Software Development Engineer in TestAs a Test Lead you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the companys enterprise-wide automation strategy.
- You will leverage both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities to oversee the delivery of scalable, high-quality automation solutions.
- Your responsibilities will include driving resolution of complex testing challenges, leading the implementation of critical enhancements, and spearheading modernization initiatives to ensure our automation frameworks and practices are future-ready and aligned with business objectives.
- As a SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), required to be hands-on in automation design and development. Actively write, review, and optimize automation code, contribute to framework architecture, build reusable components, and ensure engineering best practices are consistently followed.
- You will embed automation within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing at scale.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Excellence: Architect, design, and implement production-grade test automation frameworks from the ground up using Cypress, or Playwright (Preferred but not limited to).
- System Ownership & Bug Mitigation: Actively participate in the full development lifecycle.
- You will be responsible for identifying, triaging, and performing minor bug fixes within the application codebase to unblock automation and improve overall system stability.
- CI/CD Integration: Embed automated validation gates into the heart of our deployment pipelines, enabling high-velocity releases without compromising quality.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a Lead Consultant to align enterprise-wide automation goals with strategic business objectives, influencing cross-functional teams to adopt an "automation-first" culture.
- Modernization & AI: Spearhead the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies, including AI-driven testing platforms, to optimize speed and reliability.
- Observability & Monitoring: Leverage tools like Power BI and Splunk to build real-time dashboards, providing deep insights into system behavior and test performance.
- Mentorship: Foster a growth mindset by sharing coding best practices, conducting rigorous PR reviews, and nurturing the next generation of SDETs through hands-on technical coaching.
QualificationsRequired Skills
- Strong Coding Proficiency: 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in JavaScript and modern design patterns.
- Experience with developing test automation frameworks for testing AI/Agentic AI powered systems.
- Framework Architecture: Proven track record of building scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation architectures for testing UI, API, Performance.
- Full-Stack Troubleshooting: Expert-level debugging skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis across complex distributed systems and implement sustainable code-level fixes.
- Modern Toolset: Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, and API/Performance testing tools.
- Agile at Scale: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) and experience leading quality initiatives in an enterprise environment.?
- Proven experience as a technical leader, with the ability to influence strategic direction and drive implementation across multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-native monitoring solutions.
Education
- Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
