Quality Engineering – Team Lead (Automation) – Role SummarySeeking a Quality Engineering Team Lead (Automation) (6+ years) to lead automation capability across delivery teams. The role combines technical leadership, people management, and quality governance, ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient automation aligned with business goals.Key Responsibilities• Define and drive automation strategy, roadmap, and best practices.• Lead automation framework design, scalability, and evolution.• Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers.• Ensure high-quality delivery through governance, metrics, and reporting.• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Release teams.• Oversee CI/CD integration and continuous testing practices.• Drive shift-left testing and improve automation coverage.• Identify risks, dependencies, and quality gaps early.• Ensure effective stakeholder communication and escalation management.• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and automation maturity.Requirements• Strong leadership experience in QA/Automation roles.• Expertise in building and managing automation frameworks.• Hands-on knowledge of UI automation tools (Playwright, Cypress).• Deep understanding of API automation and service testing.• Strong programming/scripting skills (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).• Experience in Agile, DevOps, and end-to-end testing practices.• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and quality engineering processes.• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.• Experience in test strategy, governance, and reporting.• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities.Domain Experience• Retail: 4+ years• eCommerce: 4+ years• Logistics: 1+ year (preferred)Must-Have Skills1.
