Performance Test ManagerLocation: PuneKey ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of performance testers. Provide guidance, training, and support for team members to enhance skills and performance.Test Planning: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive performance testing strategies and plans. Define performance goals and metrics aligned with business requirements.Performance Testing Execution: Oversee the execution of load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests on software applications. Ensure that performance testing covers a wide range of use cases, including peak loads and stress points.Tools & Automation: Select and implement appropriate performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, etc.). Manage the automation of performance testing where possible.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to understand system requirements, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend optimization techniques.Results Analysis: Analyze test results and provide actionable insights into system performance. Identify bottlenecks, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, and drive efforts to address them.Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and deliver performance test reports to stakeholders, including performance metrics, test findings, and recommendations. Ensure clear communication of test progress and outcomes to key business leaders.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in performance testing and implement best practices to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of performance testing efforts.Risk Management: Assess and manage risks related to performance issues. Ensure that performance testing aligns with the project timeline and mitigates potential performance-related risks.QualificationsMinimum of 10+ years of experience in performance testing, including 2-3 years in a leadership role.Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, etc.).Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and metrics.Experience with scripting and automation of performance tests.Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.Experience working in Agile development environments and understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, databases, and web services is a plus.Preferred SkillsPerformance Testing Certifications such as Certified Performance Test Engineer (CPT) or other relevant certifications.Experience with DevOps practices and tools for performance testing.Familiarity with APM (Application Performance Management) tools.Understanding of network protocols and performance tuning.
