We are looking for a hands-on Manager to lead a team of Data Analysts while driving operational excellence through automation and advanced reporting. In this role, you will not just manage people; you will architect the systems they use. You will act as a technical leader who can build an operations report, manage a client escalation, and write a Google Apps Script to automate a workflow.Key Responsibilities1. People & Project ManagementTeam Leadership: Manage, mentor, and hire a high-performing team of Data Analysts. Conduct performance reviews, define career paths, and manage shift rosters/capacity planning.Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirement gathering to delivery. Ensure all projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.Workflow Optimization: Continuously monitor operational volume and throughput. Re-allocate resources dynamically based on backlog data to ensure SLA compliance.2. Client Communication & Escalation ManagementStakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients/partners. Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable business insights during Weekly/Monthly Business Reviews (WBR/MBR).Escalation Resolution: Own critical escalations. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on process failures, communicate transparency to the client, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.3. Technical Operations & ReportingDashboarding: Design and maintain advanced interactive dashboards using Looker Studio to track team performance, quality scores, and operational health.Automation: Use Google Apps Script or JavaScript to automate repetitive tasks (e.g., auto-emailing reports, connecting Sheets to APIs, validating data entry).Data Integrity: Oversee the structure and hygiene of data sources (Google Sheets/BigQuery) to ensure accurate reporting.Qualifications & SkillsMust-Have Skills:Project Management: Expert-level proficiency in Project Management.Operations Management: Expert-level proficiency in Operations Management.Spreadsheets: Advanced expertise in Google Sheets.Scripting: Functional knowledge of Google Apps Script or JavaScript to build operational tools and automations.Problem Solving: Strong logical reasoning capabilities; ability to break down vague business problems into structured data solutions.Good-to-Have (Bonus) Skills:Data Manipulation: Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets.Advanced Analytics: Experience with Python for data cleaning or deeper statistical analysis.Soft Skills:Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English; able to de-escalate tense client situations and explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders.Agility: Ability to adapt quickly to changing project scopes and priorities in a fast-paced environment.What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)Day 30: Full understanding of current analyst workflows and client SLAs. Assessment of current reporting gaps.Day 60: Successful takeover of client communication channels. Deployment of at least one automation script that saves manual effort.Day 90: Implementation of a "Control Tower" Dashboard providing real-time visibility into operations, reducing daily reporting time by 50%.Location: Bengaluru / Hybrid Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level 12+ year experience.3 must haves
