The SAP Test Workstream Lead is responsible for managing all testing activities for a specific SAP module (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, EWM) within a larger ERP programme. The role ensures functional quality, end‑to‑end process coverage, and readiness for System Integration Testing (SIT). The Workstream Lead acts as the primary testing contact for their module and collaborates closely with functional consultants, business SMEs, the central Test Manager, and wider programme teams.1. Test Planning & Scoping:- Define the test scope for the assigned SAP module, including functional scenarios, process variations, integration touchpoints, and localisation requirements.- Contribute to creation of the Test Strategy and module‑specific test plans.- Identify required test cases for SIT, UAT, regression, and any non‑functional requirements.- Map scenarios to business processes, requirements, RICEFW objects, and acceptance criteria.2. Test Preparation & Script Design:- Lead the development, review, and approval of module test scripts.- Ensure scripts are business‑friendly, traceable, complete, and aligned with end‑to‑end flows.- Identify and prepare test data (master and transactional) required for each scenario.- Collaborate with other module leads to design cross‑module test flows and integration scenarios.3. Test Execution Leadership:- Coordinate and support execution of SIT within the workstream.- Monitor progress, report execution status, and escalate blockers early.- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality in execution and evidence capture.- Support the business testers in UAT by clarifying requirements and guiding execution.4. Defect Management:- Lead defect triage for module-specific issues.- Analyse defects for root cause and assign appropriately to functional or technical teams.- Track defect ageing, retest progress, and ensure timely closure.- Provide status updates to the central Test Manager and programme leadership.Skills & Experience:- Strong functional expertise in at least one SAP module (SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, EWM, etc.).- 5+ years of experience in SAP testing or functional delivery roles.- Demonstrable experience in SIT and UAT on SAP programmes.- Ability to create high‑quality test scripts, data sets, and end‑to‑end scenarios.- Experience working in large‑scale SAP S/4HANA or ECC transformation programmes.- Strong understanding of integration points across SAP modules.- Experience in defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, etc.).Must haves:- Strong functional expertise in at least one SAP module (SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, EWM, etc.).- Strong experience in SAP testing.- Experience working in large‑scale SAP S/4HANA or ECC transformation programmes.
