Job Description: A key role in the IBU SS organization is the Senior Data Engineer position. The Senior Data Engineer will have primary responsibility for conceptual and physical data modelling, data analysis and design, data integration, data visualizations and assist in the definition and implementation of information management capabilities for the Global Quality assetsKey Responsibilities: ? Design and develop custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps) to meet organizational needs. ? Integrate Power Apps with Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Teams) and external data sources using APIs and custom connectorsExpertise in the design, data modelling creation, security, and management of data models? Utilize Power Automate to create automated workflows that streamline business processes. ? Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into functional solutions. ? Develop and integrate Power BI reports and dashboards into Power Apps for real-time data insights? Developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop? Expertise with analytics/business intelligence solutions, including Power BI ? Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain Power Apps and Power BI applications to ensure scalability and performance? Performance tuning of the dashboard ? Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports using query editor and power Bi? Should be able to blend, manipulate & transform data to create powerful dashboards ? Ability to work with business owners to define key business requirements and convert them to technical and data specifications? Proficient in making DAX query problem-solving desktops. ? Expertise in transforming the data using a query editor. ? Assist Business Process Architects in gathering business rules and requirements? Translate business concepts/processes into a sustainable data model/data flow diagrams (understanding the data elements, cardinality, etc.)? Document technical designs, processes, and user guides for developed applications? Partner with subject matter experts to deliver data visualization solutions to drive business decisions and performance monitoring.? Demonstrated interpersonal, self-management, collaboration, project management, and problem-solving skills. Essential Skills:? Bachelor?s or master?s degree in information technology? 3+ years of experience in application development, with at least 2 years focused on Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps)? Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse). ? Experience with data integration, including SQL, relational databases, and APIs. ? Strong understanding of Power Apps formulas, Power FX, and development methods? Knowledge of UX design principles for creating user-friendly interfaces. ? Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. ? Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Good to have Skills:? Working experience on Cloud ? AWS / Azure? Working with multiple internal IT organizations or external suppliers, virtually and across different geographies.? Experience working in the agile methodology.
