Overview:
The Vice President of the Center of Excellence (COE) will lead the strategic vision, innovation roadmap, and operational execution of our technology innovation hub. This executive will serve as a catalyst for digital transformation, leveraging deep expertise in automation, AI/ML, and emerging technologies to deliver scalable, high-impact business solutions. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader, skilled in fostering collaboration across diverse teams and driving measurable business outcomes through innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership:
- Drive the evaluation, adoption, and integration of diverse technologies including RPA (Robotic Process Automation), AI/ML frameworks, cloud-native platforms, and advanced analytics tools.
- Maintain a forward-looking perspective on emerging technologies to position the organization at the forefront of innovation.
Innovation & Transformation:
- Champion automation and AI-driven strategies to enhance decision-making, optimize operations, and create sustainable competitive advantage.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, future-ready digital transformation initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with business units, IT, data science, and external vendors to ensure alignment, governance, and seamless execution of COE programs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and shared accountability across the enterprise.
Governance & Best Practices:
- Establish robust governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for technology adoption, data integrity, and solution scalability.
- Ensure compliance, security, and consistency across all digital initiatives.
Talent Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of specialists in AI, automation, and digital technologies.
- Mentor and develop talent to cultivate technical excellence and thought leadership within the organization.
Performance & Impact:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and business impact of COE initiatives.
- Report progress and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Change Management:
- Lead organizational change efforts to embed innovation, agility, and continuous improvement into the company’s culture and operations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree.
Experience:
- 18+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, including 5+ years overseeing COE operations, digital transformation, or innovation programs.
- Proven success managing multi-tool environments including RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism), AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure AI), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- In-depth understanding of emerging trends in AI, automation, and next-generation enterprise technologies.
